Hockey Clothing
Ice hockey is a huge sport in North America, and the market for equipment reflects that. The sport has also increased in popularity across the globe, partly due to the introduction of synthetic-ice.
Goalie pants incorporate more padded pelvic, thigh and hip pads to guard against. Goalie jocks (also called jills) have reduced groin protection but more padding in front of the cup.
Apparel
Hockey players are required to wear protective gear since the sport involves speed skating on hard surfaces. Players often collide and sometimes intentionally. Besides ice skates and sticks the most common safety equipment includes helmets (with an visor or a full face mask), shoulder pads and elbow pads, chest protectors, mouth guard gloves, padded shorts (also known as hockey pants or jock athletic protector for males; and a jockstrap, also known as a "jill" for females) and a pelvic protector (known as a girdle women), and thigh, the tailbone, hip, as well as shin pads. A neck protector can be worn.
In recent times, technology has been used to reduce the weight of the ice hockey equipment and make it more practical. For instance, many businesses now use carbon composites for stick shafts, and specialized foam can be found to make shoulder pads lighter without sacrificing protection. Other improvements include 3D scans to accurately calculate a player's body proportions to ensure that elbow pads, knee pads and shinpads can be designed to fit each player.
The market for hockey is predicted to expand over the next few years as more people become aware of the sport, and as synthetic ice rinks are built all over the world that allow players to play in areas that have no natural ice available. The number of female hockey players has also increased which is great for the market.
Hats
A hat can be worn both on and off the skating rink. We have a broad selection of caps that will please males and females. There is also a selection of youth hats that could be worn for games or during practice by players and fans who are younger. Hats are an integral element of the hockey culture. They are seen in all leagues, including the famous ritual of throwing their hats onto the ice when an athlete scores 3 goals in a game.
From the most popular designs to the latest releases, we've got the NHL clothing you want to appear like a professional off the ice.
Jerseys
Jerseys are the uniforms worn by hockey players. They are usually made of thicker fabrics than jerseys used in other sports, and they come with long sleeves. The jerseys have the logo of the team on the front, the last name of the player on the upper back and the number ranging from zero to 100. Some jerseys bear a "C", "A" or "A" to indicate the captain of the team and alternate captain.
There are two kinds of NHL jerseys, authentic and replica. Genuine jerseys are made of the same material as ones worn by the players, and have the identical design. Replica jerseys could be made of different materials (usually cheaper) and might not have the exact design as authentic jerseys.
Most NHL teams have three or four sets of jerseys worn during games, and they also have a few special sets for things like traditional designs and charity events. Each jersey includes an inner back loop of fabric, referred to a "fight strap" that has to be tied to the pants of the player to keep the jersey from being pulled over their head during a game.
The Authentic Pro is a top-tier NHL jersey made from high-performance materials, with multilayered tackle twill, as well as 3D embroidery. It also features reinforced stitching. It is available in gender-neutral and feminine styles. The Authentic Premier is a lower-tier version of the Authentic Pro, and it is designed to mimic the look of the jerseys players wear on the hockey rink.
Shirts
The sweaters, or jerseys, of a team are the most recognizable clothing. The primary logo of the team is displayed on the front of the garment, while an additional logo is usually located on the shoulders. A player's last name is visible on the back of the shirt, and the player's name is placed below it. It ranges from 0 to 99. Captains of the team wear an uppercase "C" above and to the right of their jersey's name, while two other players who are designated as alternate captains--wear an "A" on their jerseys.
The majority of NHL teams have an alternate jersey that is worn for special occasions like the Winter Classic and Stadium Series. Many teams also have a throwback or retro alternative for their home jerseys. Third-sweater sweaters are an excellent way for teams to experiment and can be used as a basis for their primary sweaters.
Vancouver Canucks' sweater is a stunning blend of modern and traditional design. The blue and black jerseys have a striking style to them that makes it easy to identify on the ice, and the white stripes provide contrast. The Canucks also sport a unique font on their names and numbers, which helps to keep the clean appearance of the jersey.
